CCasinos.com is an editorial website and a commercial website. Some casino links are affiliate links, so we may earn money when a reader takes a qualifying action after following one. That relationship should be visible rather than hidden. Compensation can affect commercial visibility on the site, but under our working policy it does not directly set an editorial star rating or written conclusion.
Where the money can come from
Affiliate agreements vary. Depending on the partner, revenue may arise from a click, registration, qualifying deposit, fixed acquisition payment, revenue share or another agreed action. Commercial value can therefore differ from one operator to another, sometimes substantially.
It would be misleading to say that those differences never affect the site. They can influence whether a commercial link is available, whether an operator appears in a featured module, or whether a paid placement is purchased. They should not change the underlying evidence. If a licence claim cannot be verified or withdrawal terms are restrictive, a commercial relationship is not a reason to make that problem disappear.
That is the boundary this disclosure is meant to explain.
Editorial ratings and paid positions are different decisions
CCasinos.com uses a 1-to-5-star editorial scale based on the site’s review criteria and the evidence available for the page. Commission rate is not one of those rating criteria, and partners do not need to approve the final editorial conclusion. An operator might buy visibility without receiving a higher score, while another operator might receive editorial coverage without an active affiliate agreement. Limiting information should not be removed merely because an operator is commercially valuable.
Paid positions need their own treatment. Where money is being paid for placement, the format should identify that fact with a label such as Sponsored, Advertisement or Paid Placement as appropriate. A paid position is not the same thing as an ordinary ranking position; presenting it that way would make the commercial arrangement harder to understand.
What happens when a link is used
Under the current site setup, CCasinos.com stores the partner destination URL and redirects the reader to the relevant third-party website. We do not set a first-party affiliate tracking cookie before that redirect.
Once the destination opens, its own systems take over. The casino or partner can use cookies or other tracking under its policies, control account registration and payments, and decide which offers are available. CCasinos.com does not control those destination-site technologies.
Using an affiliate link does not add a separate fee charged by CCasinos.com. It also does not lock in a bonus or account term that the operator may later change.
Commercial availability is not Canadian authorization
An affiliate relationship is not a regulatory endorsement, and the presence of a commercial link does not establish that a casino is authorized in a Canadian province or territory. It also does not turn a foreign licence into provincial authorization. Ontario illustrates the separation well: regulated iGaming status there is answered by Ontario’s official regulated-market framework, not by whether CCasinos.com has a commercial relationship with the operator.
